Google Launches Adwords New Combined Paid And Organic Search Report

Google is rolling out a new feature Paid and Organic Search report in Adwords for advertisers. This feature allows the advertisers to analyze and optimize both paid and organic search traffic in Adwords. To view this report, log in to your Google Adwords campaign and click on Dimensions tab and select "Paid and organic" from the drop down list. In order to view this report you should link your Adwords account to Google Webmaster Tools.

You can improve your online marketing performance using new paid and organic search report. This report allows you to see the performance of a query when an ad or organic listing has been shown or when both appear on search results.

Useful Comparison Metrics:

Paid and organic search report will be useful for advertisers to see how both work and generate clicks and which listing of the two performs better. A better click ratio can be observed for paid search than organic when clicks/query on the organic side and CTR on the paid search are compared. If organic listing has more number of clicks then user clicks on organic result instead of paid one and new ads should be created to get more clicks for paid search. In the given example more results are given by Google when organic listings are shown.

Following are few suggestions given by Google for using this new report to measure and optimize your search performance.

1. Discover Additional Keywords:

Find additional keywords to include in your Adwords account where you only appear in natural search without any related ads.

2. Optimize Presence on High Value Queries:

Use this report and optimize your presence on high value keyword phrases.

3.Measure Changes Holistically:

You can test for improvements of your website and Adwords changes to bids or keywords and compare the paid, organic and combined traffic.
